Christmas gatherings are special not just because we get to see our favorite people in one place. They also help us establish traditions that strengthen our bonds with them. Introduce a new one this season by gifting loved ones soft sweatshirts. Make the sweatshirt more special by printing funny Christmas designs on them and having everyone wear them during your Christmas dinner. The photos and memories your gift creates will have everyone looking forward to your next reunion.

With Canva, you can create this customized present even if you’re not a graphic designer. Simply browse the gallery and take inspiration from our funny Christmas sweatshirt samples. You can also filter the designs by style, theme, and color, then select your preferred layout.

Upload a laugh-inducing picture or illustration that holds meaning for you and your recipients. Drag and drop it onto the template, taking care to fix its placement. Resize it if needed. Apply a filter to bring out its colors, or perhaps add a border around it. You can do this by exploring the Canva media library where you can also find other graphic elements to add to your funny holiday sweatshirt.

Switch up the palette in your chosen template by relying on the color information in the editing deck. That way, you change the shades in the background or the different graphic components while maintaining cohesiveness in the design.

If your Christmas sweatshirt template comes with a sample text, replace it with a funny pun or an inside joke you share with your loved ones. You can also create a new text box by clicking “Text” on the left sidebar of the deck. Go with your template’s featured typography, or select any of the suggestions shown in the menu. You can even set your own font style and color combination.

Happy with your design? Save and download it as a JPG, PNG, or PDF file to send to your printer. Canva Print offers affordable printing services for your funny Christmas design on varying sweatshirt sizes and long-lasting fabric colors.
